HS2 will be a new high-speed railway line, connecting London with major cities in the Midlands and the North of England. HS2 is expected to lead to a doubling in passenger numbers through Euston station. It has the potential to transform the area; as a gateway to London, a transport hub and a neighbourhood centre.
This event will explore how the design of the station has evolved in response to the wider ambitions for the neighbourhood around Euston. It will consider how this process has been influenced by the development of the Euston Area Plan and how the area might look in the future.
The event will commence with a discussion at Arup over breakfast, where Claire McConnell from the Euston Station project team will give an overview of how ambitious plans for the station have emerged. This will be followed by a walking tour through the area, led by Mary-Ann Lewis of the Euston Area Plan team.
Join us at Arup on 13 April from 08:15 for our Euston ‘Walk and Talk’ event.
