According to our August 2015 survey, Housing came out as our member’s top priority for the future Mayor. Join RTPI London at our fourth Mayoral debate on housing policy, delivery and affordability. The event is being held at Camden Council’s offices in Kings Cross.
London is facing a housing crisis. According to recent research by the Centre for Economics and Business Research (CEBR) and Fifty Thousand Homes, London is losing £2.7bn annually in consumer spending due to high rents. The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) recently stated that unaffordable housing affects companies’ abilities to attract and retain staff.
This event seeks to ask the questions about housing delivery, the Mayor’s role, policy and affordability. The event is focused on debating these hugely important issues with our panel.
Please come armed with questions on,
- Housing Delivery and policy
- Affordability of housing in London
- Public Sector housing delivery.
