USEFUL INFORMATION: Planning resources from the GLA Information Service

Do you work in planning in one of the London Boroughs? If so, do you know that you can access some of the services provided by the Greater London Authority’s Information Service for free?

The GLA Information Service aims to support the strong evidence base required for policy formulation in London. Staff in the 32 London Boroughs and the City of London Corporation can use the online urban and social affairs databases. They can also sign-up to receive current awareness bulletins which give detailed abstracts/summaries of the latest articles, journals and reports.

There are fortnightly updates highlighting the latest research and policy documents in:

•             Town and country planning

•             Urban regeneration

•             Sustainable development

•             Property Development

•             Architecture and design

•             Transport

To access the service, go to www.london.gov.uk/informationservice and register. It’s a great way to stay up-to-date and helps with CPD.
