Forgotten Spaces exploration workshops

ImageRTPI London members are invited to take part in the next stage of the exciting Forgotten Spaces competition for 2013.

RIBA London is running two workshops for local residents and design professionals to explore the selected sites in Hammersmith and Fulham and Enfield, giving attendees a chance to share thoughts and proposals for place making in context to the Forgotten Spaces competition brief. Attendees will be taken on a guided walking tour and will work in small groups to document the site and local area using sketchbooks and digital cameras, a facilitated workshop will follow to share ideas and findings. Representatives of the local planning department will also give context with an overview for the future vision for these two London Boroughs. Attendees must bring their own drawing equipment and cameras or camera phones and wear suitable clothing for the climate.

These free events will take place at:

Hammersmith Town Hall Thursday 11 April 2.30pm – 5.15pm.

Enfield, Tottenham Ikea, Tuesday 23 April 2.30pm- 5.15pm.

Prior booking for the event is essential and spaces are limited so email tom.symonds@riba.org to secure your place. Details will be sent to registered delegates.  You do not have to have registered for the competition to be eligible for the workshop. The competition registration deadline has been extended to Thursday 25th April 2013. The competition will close for entries on Thursday 9th May 2013.
