The publication of the Portas Review at the end of last year, together with the imminent publication of the Government’s response to this report and the final NPPF, has returned our high streets to the top of the political agenda. Yet some of our biggest high street retailers face an increasingly uncertain future and some commentators are calling for town centres to be allowed to die.
CBRE are hosting a debate on the future of our high streets. A panel chaired by Tim Danaher, former editor of Retail Week, will consider whether we should save our town centres and, if so, how. Panellists will include Ian Anderson, Senior Director of the CBRE National Planning Team, and Graham Chase, President of the Association of Town Centre Management. More information to follow, but if you would like to book a place now please go to the RTPI London website here.
